1. Aviation industry is worst hit by recent pandemic. A steep fall from its best state in
history to less than 1% of activities has raised several questions among stakeholders. As a
student of airline operation, analyse the situation and answer.
Do you think aviation activities will return to normal as soon as this Corona Virus
Pandemic ends? Why?

2. A family of four is travelling to London. You, at the check-in counters find that only
three among them have valid tickets. They beleive that infants dont need any tickets for
air travel as they are carried on mother’s lap. Besides, their baggage allowance is 2 piece,
46 Kgs. per person, but they don’t have any idea about piece system of baggage
allowance. They are shouting at you feeling they are unnecessrily troubled and things are
going out of order. How would you handle this situation? How would you explain the
passengers what needs to be done by them to be accepted in the flight?

3. Analyse, as a policy maker, what are the causes for downfall of Nepal Airlines in the
recent decade. Also explain what can be done immediately for the betterment of the
situation and what should be done in a long run for the airline to excell.

4. Discuss aviation supply chain and role of Travel agents for sale of Airline tickets. Also
explain why passengers travelling on a same flight are charged with different fares for
exactly same service?

5. Calculate final fare in NPR. Also illustrate all the steps of fare calculation.
