WRITTEN EXERCISE

I. Choose the biography of a famous person and write your opinion about that famous
person in a text (80 to 100 words).

Adolf Hitler was born in Braunau am Inn on April 20, 1889 and died in Berlin on April 30,
1945.Adolf Hitler was the main leader of Nazi Germany since he was appointed chancellor in 1933.
The son of an Austrian customs officer, he was the third child of his parents (carnal cousins).

Hitler was a genocide. More than 6 million Jews were killed, millions and millions more Jews were
humiliated and tortured in ghettos, concentration camps, etc. And only because of the fact that
Hitler considered them an inferior race. Hitler and the Nazis annihilated entire families and
communities. Regardless of whether they were children, women, pregnant women, the elderly.
They were killed just because they were Jews. Outside of the Jews, millions of citizens from
different countries in Europe were also killed by the Nazis who wanted to conquer Europe. Hitler
after all ended up destroying Germany, and almost all of Europe. And all this has no justification
whatsoever.

Hitler was unfortunately a person with horrendous extremist ideas and with a high charismatic
power and conviction for what he knew how to take advantage of the economic, political and
social situation of Germany in the post-war period to carry out his cruel ideas.

So. Can you think something positive about Hitler? Absolutely nothing. Hitler can be seen as one
of the best examples to show how prejudice, hatred, racism and intolerance can end up with a
group of people for the simple fact of being different.
