My One and Only

I sat on the teacher’s table,

Mindlessly cracking some jokes in front of everyone,
A girl seated on the first seat on the third row,
Laughing on how crazy I am,
Unknowingly that’s the girl that I want to be with forever.
Never knew that it would be her, until months passed.

Intramural’s has began,

“She’ll be in our team.” my friend casually said,
I was surprised by the mere idea that she also plays ball,
“Another mystery was revealed” My mind thought.

Standing on the corner and watched her play,

I was amazed by her handles and speed.
She’s small yet fast, I knew her as a quiet and mysterious girl,
Who would’ve thought she’s so good.
She’s like a bird that has been freed after a long time.

I’ve got to practice with her finally!

The day when I saw her message in my phone.
And yet, that was a hidden crush that I would never reveal,
“Maybe in the future, but not now” I whispered.

One day, she texted me. “Nagbayad kana Jersey? Sabay na tayo.”
My heart beat went faster,
I was happier than I should be,
And so the text serye had began.
 I love You

Three words
Eight letters
And yet can you feel it?

How can one know that it’s true?

Easy to say,
Hardly to be proven,
And that’s what I’m sure about

Do you love me,

As much as I love you?

Can you love me too?

Lots of questions,
Lots of fears,
Lots of doubts,
Lots of pain,

There’s no assurance,
That’s what we know,
Just take risk,
Like everyone does

A sun that lighten up my world,
A cup of coffee that gives me energy to seize the day,
A sunflower that generates undying beauty within herself,
A chocolate that added a little more sweetness within me,

Four objects that I love the most,

Four objects that signify her.
And her name is Samantha, T
he person that I love the most,

Changes happened when she came,

No one expected, no one questioned
“Be the better person” she said,
And I became one; not for others, but for her.

Though love gives me wonders,

The sacred mystery unfolds even more,
With her by my side,
I am not scared to look for more.
