Breakfast Mid-Meal An Occasional Treat

This herbal drink is a replacement for the traditional Indian tea made using milk and tea
leaves. It will help you get rid off tea addiction. It is made using a blend of herbs and natural
flavors, without milk and tea leaves. Note: Treat this drink as a transitional food. Goal should
be to eventually get rid of these too and adapt the habit of drinking fresh juices.

LEMONGRASS FLAVOUR

SERVES 2
1. Take a saucepan, add the water and bring
2-3 inches of lemongrass stems, chopped
it to a boil.
Cinnamon sticks, 2 inches
2. Crush the lemongrass steams, cinnamon
6 green cardomom buds
sticks, cardamom buds & ginger in a
½ inch coin ginger
mortar and pestle. Add to the water and
2 cups water
cover the pan for 3 minutes, to let the
1 teaspoon jaggery (optional)
flavours infuse.
3. Strain the tea through the strainer into
cups.
4. If you like your tea sweetened, add jaggery
from the top and serve.
Tip Instead of lemongrass, you can also use
tulsi leaves, curry leaves or rosemary.
