Project name: Manually operated barrel loading and unloading device

Role: To Research on various alternative methods of material handling and find the best suitable
method to achieved the project objectives.

Description: With the increasing levels of technology, the efforts are being put together to
produce any kind of work that will reduce human effort. The efforts required in achieving the
desired output can be effectively and economically decreased by the implementation of better
designs. Hydraulics is one of the prominent factors contributing in these designs. Hydraulics is
a branch of science which deals with power of fluid. Hydraulic bottle jack plays an important
role in this project, in which oscillating motion of pedal is used to raise or lower large loads. In
this fabricated model, a foot operated lever governs the function of jack. This ensures the
lifting of load. The transportation is carried out by means of wheels. Thus by the components
mentioned above our purpose of lifting and carrying heavy objects can be achieved by
reducing human efforts. many more related to agriculture .The continuous status of various
parameters will also be displayed on the web site.

 Knowledgeable in mechanical engineering science: Fluid Mechanics, Metrology, Basic

Thermodynamics.
 Knowledgeable in manufacturing processes and fabrication.
