Description
As the Finance Manager for the Global Business Planning Long Range Planning team, you will join one of the most
dynamic global consumer brands in a role at the heart of its growth strategy. You will be working with Nike’s
Category, Product Engines, Geography and Functions Forecasting and 3 year planning, which provides unique
visibility to all P&L line items across Nike’s business portfolios. You will partner with a broad set of stakeholders
within Finance, Strategic Planning, Sales, Operations, etc. in the areas of:
• Preparing and owning the financial model that supports our Revenue consolidation
• Providing input and guidance related to key P&L line items
• Assisting in the 3 year strategic planning process (CSR) and transitioning the financial model from CSR to
a one year operating model
• Collaborating with Geo, Category and Functional teams to clearly present the Gross-t-Net (G2N)
submission, as well as identifying areas of risk/opportunities
• Providing input and guidance related to the annual targeting process
• Conducting ad-hoc analysis in support of strategic initiatives
• In addition, you will work towards streamlining processes and tools in respect to business planning, aiming
to improve efficiencies without sacrificing quality
The role has high exposure across many dimensions of the Nike organization and provides an excellent platform for
further professional growth. To succeed in the role you have to be a self-starter who can work with limited oversight
and be able to multi-task. You have to possess excellent analytical skills, attention to detail paired with the ability to
see the bigger picture, a strong work ethic and a desire to continuously learn and help evolve the department and
how we service our internal customers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a business-related field with emphasis in finance or accounting


• MBA is a plus but not required
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in finance, strategic planning, investment analysis, economic profit
analysis, accounting and/or budgeting at a Fortune 500 company
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills while being independent and resourceful
• Ability to communicate effectively with others, including Sr. Leadership, and being resourceful in solving
problems independently
• Advanced proficiency with Excel and PowerPoint, proficiency with tool such as Access Oracle Crystal
Ball, R, SPSS is a plus
• Strong information seeking skills and drive to make things happen
• Ability to exercise high degree of professionalism
• Client service attitude
• Innate desire to continuously explore, learn, and exercise intellectual curiosity
• Ability to pass a 7-year background investigation

Working in the retail environment things can get very stressful, dealing with different personalities as
well as having to handle many tasks at one time. When I see “maintaining emotional control under
stress” I can think of all the different situations where things weren’t going well or I had people getting
mad at me for things that I had no control over. Another skill I see on this list is “interacting with people
at different levels”, I think this one is very apparent in my work experience because I’ve had to meet and
communicate with people from all walks of life while learned that not everyone can be approached the
same way. Having the ability to handle money has also been included in my work experience. Cashiering
is a job where you must be very thorough and keep track of everything you do or it can impact the
whole company negatively.
