regional aircrafts.
 Civil design of terminal utilities including electric, water, sanitary sewer and coordination of
hydrant fuel design.
 Grading and drainage designed for the entire terminal ramp, apron and Taxi-lane area.
 Prepared site plans and technical specifications for bid purposes for the construction of the
proposed concourse expansion.
 Reviewed and QC for design plans prepared by staff engineers.
LaGuardiaAirport
The American Airlines aprons at LaGuardia Airport located at the Central Terminal Building,
Concourses C and D and are made of a hot-mix asphalt (HMA) pavement section that surrounds
Portland Cement Concrete (PCC) hardstands located at the aircraft parking location for each gate
with drainage structures throughout the apron. Responsibilities include review and approval of
special inspections as the engineer of record for this Port Authority project.
• Responsible for comprehensive evaluation of the existing pavement while preparing construction
documents based on the analysis the American Airlines ramp pavement
• Three objectives for improvements:
• Design repairs to the existing PCC and HMA for each gate
• Rehabilitate existing inlets that required repair
• Oversee and provide construction management services to provide guidance to the contractors for
efficient repair at each gate
