Question 1: Consider the structure A − B − C, where, A is the fixed end


at the bottom, B is the beam-column connection and C is the free end. The
beam BC is subjected to a UDL of magnitude w kN/m. Determine the
vertical displacement and slope at point C.

Question 2: Determine the slope at support A. Support at A is pinned


while that at B is roller. Assume EI is constant.

Question 4: Consider a single-storey single-bay frame shown in figure 4.


Support on the left (A) is hinged while that on the right (D) is a roller.
Each column and beam have a length L. EI remains constant throughout.
A uniformly distributed load of w kN/m acts on the beam BC. Determine
the slope at C.
