1. Based on the map, what resources should you have in order to implement the
LDM adopted by your School/Division?

2. Do you have the complete resources for the Distance LDM needed in class? If
the LRs are not complete or not available, what steps will you take to make these
available? What are your options to substitute these missing LRs?
No, I do not have complete available resources for distance learning. I will
use the DepEd portals like LRMDS and DepEd Commons. If the LRs are
not available, I will search in the internet and look for the materials related
to the lesson. I will also do a teacher made materials and videos.
3. What support will you need to maximize the use of the two DepEd-sanctioned LR
Portals? From whom can you get this support?
I need the support of my colleagues and ICT Coordinator to help and
guide me to look for other resources which can be found locally and also I
need the support from LGUs to provide some of the learning resources
applicable in the present situation currently happening now (internet
connection, gadgets, etc.)

What support can you provide to your colleagues and what support can you get from

Lesson 2. Activity 1
Explore the Portals. In your Study Notebook, answer the following questions:
1. Given the LDM adopted in your School, how can the two DepEd portals respond
to your LR needs and those of your learners’? How do they complement the LRs
that you already have?
2. What are the challenges in accessing the LRs in the portals both for you and
your learners? How will you overcome these challenges?

Access to the internet
Computer literacy, although pupils are generally tech knowledge, and thus
able to manage computers well, lack of computer literacy is a major issue
among students today.
Solutions
Technological training for teachers and pupils for enhancing their
knowledge about the use of technologies.
Parent’s supervision for primary pupils in using gadgets.
3. What support will you need to be able to maximize the use of the LR Portals? From
whom can you get this support?
Coaching/Mentoring and Hands-on activity in utilizing portals are the support that
I will be needing to be able to maximize the use of the LR portals and I can get
this through the help of our ICT Coordinator and colleagues with expertise
regarding this matter.

Explore how you can help and support each other in using the LR portals. Jot down the
insights and helpful information regarding the use of the LR portals in your Study
Notebook.
Education must continue even in this time of crisis. Online platforms like LRMDS
and DepEd Commons portals take a big role to help both teachers and pupils.
LRMDS and DepEd Commons served as supplementary online instructional
materials in teaching and learning process which are different from the physical
or actual face to face encounter. Orienting and mentoring teachers, pupils and
parents in using these portals are really a great help for everyone.

There were no questions in the assessment tool that I have answered “No” or
“Cannot be Determined”

The answer key should be assessed to make sure all the answers are correct.
4. How does this exercise help you in picking the right and appropriate LRs for your
lesson and your learners?
The exercises helped me in choosing the appropriate LR that suited to the
learner’s level, interest, gender and other needs. It also helped me to become
familiar on the available resources found in the DepEd Commons and DepEd
Portals.
Lesson 3. Activity 2
Explore other non-DepEd LR portals/platforms you can find online. Take note of
the portals in your Study Notebook. Download at least one LR from each portal. Assess
the materials using the same tool and answer the following questions in your Study
Notebook:
1. Based on the Assessment Tool, how does the material from a non-DepEd Portal
compare with the LR from the DepEd Portal?
2. Based on the results of the Assessment Tool, what improvements do the materials —
both from DepEd and Non-DepEd portals — still need?
The materials from both DepEd and non-DepEd portals still need to improve the
presentation and organization of the content. Like using an appropriate
vocabulary level to the target clienteles likely about experience and level of the
understanding and the length of sentences should be suited to the
comprehension l.vel of the target learner.
3. How does this exercise help you in picking the right and appropriate LRs for your
lesson and your learners?
The exercise help in choosing appropriate LRs for my lesson and my learners in
knowing the standards, specifications and guidelines for assessing , evaluating,
acquiring and harvesting, modifications and development and production of
resources.
Lesson 3. Activity 3
Choose one of the LR materials that you have developed. Assess this material using
the same tool. Answer the following questions in Your Study Notebook:
1. How does your material compare with the ones that are obtained from the online
portals?
Some of the online non DepEd LR's that can be obtained in other internet portals
of resources are not suited in our learners for Distance Learning and we are also
not that sure if those LR are originally made by the author. Not been validated, so
it appears that the references and the objectives of the latter don’t have the full
credentials of learning that is suitable for the pupils or learners. Also, the
advantage of our LR is, it is being molded locally principled. So it can fit on the
actual learning practices and environment of our pupils, while serving the whole
country as well with this natural principle of humanity.
Lesson 3. Activity 4
Share and discuss your answers to the questions in Activities 1, 2, and 3 in your next
LAC Session. Jot down insights and information that can be useful to you in choosing
the appropriate LRs.
Submit your LR assessments with your reflection on the exercises to your LAC Leader.
