PRINCIPLES OF MANAGEMENT

This project was given to us by Prof Maneesh yadav sir.Our work in this
project was to visit the organization and convert the theoretical knowledge
of all levels of management to practical knowledge and work on the
analysis report. It was a difficult project for us because it was the first time
we have to connect think practically. I was selected as the Leader of this
project by my team members because they think I was a rational decision-
maker in my learning team.In our Learning Team, some people were
introvert and some were extrovert but anyhow we manage to interact with
each other well. In starting some of the members of the learning team was
unable to give time to his team due to there other work commitments that
were the reason behind conflict but I communicated them this problem and
with the help of collaboration strategy they understand my problem and
now they are giving sufficient time to their team. When it comes to this
project we all team members were confused between the Taj hotel and Big
bazaar but afterward, we conclude to visit the big bazaar. When we visit Big
Bazaar we had to wait for 4 hours for the HR manager in the mall. In
between those four hours, some of them wants to go home but it was the
cohesiveness of our group that we waited for Hr. Initially, I had thought of
visiting the Taj hotel but as my team members suggested me to visit Big
Bazaar so the Group shift happens my decision changes according to their
changes. After visiting Big Bazaar we were not satisfied with the time we
get from HR but anyhow we managed to get the things done.
During the Project Analysis part, many problems were resolved using the
Brainstorming method. There was no social loafing in our team during the
project because the allocation of roles was done properly in initial stages
and the group follows set norms. We have some members outside of
Lucknow but this diversity does not result in conflict it helps in dealing with
problems regarding the project for example –One member is from outside
so he tells about his analysis about big bazaar from outside
Lucknow.Strength of Our Group decision making that we have the diversity
of people with different abilities which results in the completion of a
project with proper connection to working to big bazaar, but sometimes it
takes more time to get the desired results from group decision. During the
projects, many times analysis was changed by team members because it
was not connected practically with big bazaar. Hence time taking is the
weakness of our group decision making.Team efficacy was the reason that
the members do not give up during this difficult work.
