    Learner Stories- Like Me

    Robert Grade 3

    Student Teachers Comments:


    Robert is a very intelligent social boy. Robert is very good at math and can solve significantly
    more complex problems than most kids his age. Robert loves Beyblades, cars and trucks. Robert
    loves to engage in conversation with adults and can carry conversations at an adult level.
    Robert is also good at art and science. However, Robert can get distracted very easily. He often
    finds himself off task and distracting the students that are his desk mates. He loves to socialize,
    and he finds topics to talk about with everyone. Robert is quite anxious and will tell you matter
    of fact when he is feeling anxious. He has a good idea of how he is feeling. Robert needs
    constant reminders to do his work and often asks to move to outside the classroom or to a
    secular table to finish it as he knows he gets distracted. As intelligent as Robert is, he does
    struggle with reading and literacy. He is benchmarked below the average for his 4grade, but he
    is making improvements.

    How I Learn Best: I learn best away from distractions. I also learn best when teachers are
    reminding and encouraging me to do my work.

    Subjects I’m good at: Math and science

    Subjects I struggle with: Language arts

    Things I really like: Beyblades, trucks, cars and adult hobbies

    Things I need you to know about me: I have an aunt that teaches across the hall and my
    grandma comes into the school to read to my class sometimes. My mom in an education
    assistant and one day I want to be a car salesman.
