This study aimed to determine the effectiveness of modules as supplementary materials in teaching Institutional Correction to 40 fourth year criminology students in the Philippines. The students were split into an experimental group that received modules and a control group. Both groups took pre- and post-tests. The experimental group showed improved results from needs improvement to satisfactory, while the control group remained poor. The post-test scores were significantly higher for the experimental group compared to the control group. The study concluded that modules are an effective supplementary material that can help students improve their performance and independent study skills.
