Mathematics Accomplishment Report

2018 Mathematics Club
“Enduring Mathematics Legacy for Future Endeavors”
I. Rationale

Most of the students hate math for its being complicated. Numbers
joined by letters make the students dizzy that is why mathematics teachers
collaborated about the activities that the students will enjoy and as well as
love math. Mathematics Club held their first meeting as well as the election
of officers on July 24, 2018. Before the election of officers, the club adviser
discussed first the things that the students need to expect such as the
different contests, events, and other matters.
Math Week was celebrated on September 24 – 28, 2019 with the
theme “Enduring Mathematics Legacy for Future Endeavors”. Several
activities were done for the students to participate. We had Rubics Cube
competition, Slogan Making, Logo Making, Quiz Bee, and Math Sayaw
which was the highlight of the event.

II. Objectives

● to engage students in mathematics activities

● to show off their skills and knowledge about mathematics

III. Mathematics Culminating Activities

Math Week was a fun-filled week for the students. Mathematics

Teachers were assigned to handle different event on that week. On the
28th, students gave their best to perform their Math Sayaw which was the
highlight of the event. Their dance will include steps that are math symbols.
We invited 2 teachers from different school to judge the students. Mr.
Eusebio D. Brila Jr., master teacher I of Malis Elementary School, Ms.
Lenie D. Zapata, teacher I of Guiguinto National Vocational High School
and our OIC, Mrs. Melissa M. Martin.
The ceremony ended by giving awards of recognition, medals,
trophies, and certificates for the winners. Mrs. Ma-Anne C. Castro, math
coordinator, also gave an inspirational message for the students.
