Greetings of Peace and Solidarity!

Reading plays a vital role in molding the holistic development of every child. Thus, despite of the
health crisis we experience now, the Department of Education initiates activities that will make our
learners be busier on reading with its goal of uplifting the reading skills of our children rather than
on spending too much time on their gadgets.

This 8 Weeks Reading Program which will start from June 22 to August 22, 2020. Since face to face
mode of interaction is totally not allowed, we would like to ask for your support to help us in the
distribution of the reading materials we prepared to our selected learners in your barangay. This
would be much easier through the help of our Prk. Leaders. Moreover, our selected learners were
informed in advance that their reading tools will be available in the brgy. Hall and ready to be picked
-up from June 22 onwards. Also, once the learners had finished their reading activities, their parents
are the one to return them to the barangay hall and will be collected by the teachers for checking
and evaluation.

We are hoping that you are one with us in this endeavor. Our present situation is not a hindrance for
us teachers to continue our mission in molding our children, the hope of our nation. We are looking
forward for your favorable approval on this matter.
