- TEXT OF WHAT I SAY ABOUT MY CHARACTER-

Good morning, my name is Auguste Dupin and, since you do not know who I am, I want to tell you
a little about me. From my childhood, I was different from the other children my age, the "strange
boy", with whom no one sat. For this, the fault was largely my family, conservative and traditional,
who did not allow me to go anywhere other than school, although their great influence and power
gave me some benefits. In my house, which was very large and lonely, I looked for a way to
entertain myself, without any result, to the point where I stayed for hours analyzing a painting, the
silhouettes, nature through the window, maybe looking for something out of the ordinary,
something beyond what is seen in the first instance. I was always attracted to that, and that ability

When I finished my studies and became an adult, poverty began to invade my family, so I decided
to completely separate myself from those beings who had raised me, and have total control of my
life. With the help of a heritage that was in my name, I was able to begin to really know what the
world was, I traveled to Paris, I met someone who became a very good friend, and we stayed in an
apartment as companions. Until then, that analytical ability sometimes scared me, so I didn't make
much use of it, which was almost impossible for me to achieve since this was in automatic mode.

On one occasion, of which I no longer remember the date, a double murder occurred in one of the
neighborhoods near mine, in a heinous and mysterious way, of which the murderer was not known,
not was there any clue. This particular case caught my attention to a great extent, so I decided to
move my influences to experiment first-hand and find every detail of that crime scene. After seeing
all this panorama, I cleared my mind and after a whole day of analyzing everything, I finally had a
complicated and crazy, but very accurate deduction of absolutely everything that had happened,
thus leaving any human being in wonder .

Muy buenos días, mi nombre es Auguste Dupin y, al ustedes desconocer quien soy, les quiero
contar un poco a cerca de mi. Desde mi niñez, fui diferente a los demás niños de mi edad, el "niño
raro", con quién nadie se sentaba. De esto, la culpa la tuvo en gran parte mi familia, conservadora y
tradicional, quienes no me permitían salir a ningún lugar que no sea el colegio, aunque su gran
influencia y poder que me otorgaba algunos beneficios. En mi casa, la cual era muy grande y
solitaria, busqué la forma de entretenerme, sin resultado alguno, hasta el punto en que me quedaba
durante horas analizando un cuadro, las siluetas, la naturaleza a través de la ventana, tal vez
buscando algo fuera de lo común, algo más allá de lo que se ve en primera instancia. Siempre me
atrajo eso, y esa capacidad la fui desarrollando mientras crecía y podía razonar más.

Al terminar mis estudios y convertirme en un adulto, a mi familia la empezo a invadir la pobreza,

por lo que decidí separarme totalmente de aquellos seres que me habían criado, y tener total control
de mi vida. Con la ayuda de un patrimonio que estaba a mi nombre pude empezar a conocer
realmente lo que era el mundo, viajé a París, conocí a alguien que se volvió un muy buen amigo, y
quedamos en un apartamento como compañeros. Hasta ese momento, aquella capacidad analítica en
ocasiones me asustaba a mi mismo, por lo qué no hacia mucho uso de ella, lo que me resultaba casi
imposible de lograr ya que esto estaba en modo automático.

En una ocasión, de la cual ya no recuerdo la fecha, sucedió en uno de los barrios cercanos al mío,
un asesinato doble en una atroz y misteriosa forma, del cual no se tenía conocimiento del asesino, ni
se llegaba a pista alguna. Este caso en particular me llamó en gran medida la atención, por lo que
decidí mover mis influencias para experimentar por primera mano y encontrar todo detalle de
aquella escena del crimen. Luego de ver todo este panorama, aclaré mi mente y luego de un dia
entero de analizar todo, finalimente tuve una complicada y alocada, pero muy acertada deducción
de absolutamente todo lo que había sucedido, dejando de esta forma, a cualquier ser humano,
maravillado.
