Abstract
[Type text]

This research is entitled Factors Associated with Students’ Tardiness Behavior

and Academic Achievements of Grade 11 Students of Cor Jesu Institute of Mabini,

Inc. The purpose of this correlational study is to identify the relationship between

factors associated with students’ tardiness behavior and the academic achievements

of the students. The researchers chose the purposive sampling with 40 student-

respondents, they prepared 20 questions for factors associated with students’

tardiness behavior and 10 questions for the academic achievement for their survey

questionnaire. Upon collating the data, they end up with the AWM of 2.12 for factors

associated with students’ behavior with the descriptive equivalent of seldom and

AWM of 3.52 for the academic achievement with the descriptive equivalent of agree.

For its relationship, it has an r-value of -0.12993918 and a coefficient determination of

0.017 or 1.7%. For its interpretation, it has a negligible negative relationship,

meaning the two variables have a significant relationship. There is a significant

relationship between factors associated with students’ tardiness behavior and

academic achievement of the students. For recommendation, the students should be

reminded about the behavior they are demonstrating in school. In spite having good

academic performance, it can still somehow affect their grades.
