RULES

1. If a verb itself ends in t or d, the final –ed is pronounced / id/ e.g: invite-invited
2. If a verb ends in a voiceless consonant the final –ed is pronounced /t/ e.g: look-looked
3. If a verb ends in a voiced consonant or a vowel sound, the final –ed is pronounced /d/. e.g: move-moved

IMPORTANT: look at the final sound of the verb in the infinitive form to choose the correct pronunciation.
