Learning Objectives: Terminal Objective: at the end of the session, the participants will be able to maximize their capability in
using the PowerPoint application to produce desirable images or video/movie clips or even screen recoding
for video tutorial etc. needed in their projects.

SAY: According to FINKELSTEIN (2015), “In


PowerPoint 2010 and later, you can take
screenshots from within PowerPoint. While,
PowerPoint 2016 introduced the ability to take
screen recordings and that feature has been
added to PowerPoint 2013 as well.”

- But, most of the books appear to be in portrait. -
- And to make it, click the ‘Design’ button on the
upper menu bar and look for the ‘Slide Size’
option, click it and go to ‘Customize Slide Size’.
Suddenly, you will see the dialogue box for slide
size.
- On the ‘slide’ portion of the selections, select
‘portrait’ and click ok.

3. Customize the first slide or title slide by


putting the title of your module or lesson, grade
level, logo, the picture that is intelligently
related to your lesson, and your name as the
author on the first or title slide of the
PowerPoint.

- Once you have the portrait orientation, you can


now customize the title slide.

4. Save the File into JPEG format.

- For you to come out with an image, you must


save the file into your desired file name and in a

the file name, and proceed to the next step which
is to click on the next item (drop down) to look

2. Locate for the ‘screenshot’ option in the menu


bar.

include all your open windows except your
current presentation. The clunky part is that if
you want to take a screenshot of your current
presentation, you must create a new presentation
and do the screenshot from there.

- If you want to capture the entire window, just


click the window you want.
- If you want to select a portion of the window,
choose Screen Clipping from the bottom of the
window.
- You can then drag across a portion of an open
window. The clunky part here is that the window
needs to be visible. You do not always get a
chance to choose a hidden window as you do
when you capture an entire window. That is
because you can capture only windows that have
not been minimized to the taskbar.
- However, you can display the window you want
before you choose Insert, Screen Clipping, Screen
Clipping, and PowerPoint will hide itself and
display that window — the window behind it is
available for clipping.

4. Once the item or output is available, save it as
picture.

-After doing the screenshot, do right click on the


item, and select save as picture and you may now
export.

1. Open the PowerPoint Application
2. Locate for the ‘scree recording’ option in the
menu bar or on the ‘search’ option available on
the upper center of the application or click ‘Alt+
Q’ and type recording. Click ‘insert screen
recording.
3. Select a Type of Recording.
4. Customize the Recorded Item.
5. Save as Media and Export.

recordings are newer. You can find this feature in
PowerPoint 2013 if it is fully updated and in
PowerPoint 2016.

2. Locate for the ‘scree recording’ option in the


menu bar or on the ‘search’ option available on
the upper center of the application or click ‘Alt+
Q’ and type recording. Click ‘insert screen
recording.

- As for screen capture, you should display the


window you want to record just before you start.

recording-3Choose Insert, Screen Recording from
the Media group.
- You will see this small toolbar. It is common to
include the mouse pointer, so that your audience
can see more clearly what you are clicking. You
can also turn audio on or off.
- To record part of the screen, click the Select
Area button and drag across the area you want to
record.
- Click Record. You will see a message telling you
to press Windows button + Shift + Q to stop
recording. Write that down! You will also see a
countdown. When the countdown ends, start the
process you want to show.
- Press Windows button + Shift + Q and the video
appears on your current slide.
- Remember that you can add arrows and text
boxes and other formatting to your videos, too.

4. Customize the Recorded Item.


- Export your media! I am sure you know that you
can right-click and choose a screen capture– or
any image, then choose Save as Picture to export
it as a separate file. But you can do the same with
