Interpretation:

“Espino Family Genogram” as shown above is structured as a third generation

genogram, wherein both paternal and maternal grandparents and their siblings, parents
and their siblings, and also children are portrayed hence, it can be differentiated
whether it is male (green box) and female (flower). It shows that both of my
grandfathers in paternal and maternal side are deceased while both of my
grandmothers (Anita and Amada) are still alive with the age of 84 and 83 respectively, it
also shows everyone’s age and for the married couple, how many years they are
married. For the conditions and characteristics, it is shown that my mother (Grace) and
inherited hypertension from my grandfather (Johny), on the other hand, my eldest sister
(Krztelle) and my 3rd sister (Abegail) inherited poor eye sight from my father (Romeo).As
a further matter, only my younger brother (Romeo) inherited asthma from our father,
which has an alcohol or drug problem while my uncle(June) has a lung problem.
Relationship among each other like being distant, close and so on is represented on the
genogram, as well as, the strengths symbolized by variety of shapes such as being
strong (leaf), funny (bee), smart(star), works hard (triangle) and lastly heart(kind), in
addition, plus sign is used to categorize a family as deceased.

Interpretation:

“Ecomap of my Family” as portrayed above represents our family’s formal and

informal networks that serve as our sources of support, the members of my family is
inside the box and can be differentiated whether a male(box with blue outline) and
female (flower). Our formal supports are placed on the top and bottom part of the
Ecomap, while the informal supports are seen on the sides and it is illustrated that
green bold line means “strong positive support” where Amada (our grandmother),
Jeanette (our aunt, sister of my mother), Santo Nino Chapel (Church), and Scholarship
lies. While blue line which is the most high in quantity means “moderate support” where
school, sports and habits, cousins, friends, neighbors, and so on belongs. Moreover,
yellow line means ”weak support” where Grace, games and Dogs are included, on the
other hand, red dotted line means “stressful” where work, and MBG is included. Work
comprises red dotted line and bold green line because it is supports them while on the
same time it causes stress to my mother and sister.
