Nitrogen generators utilize proprietary selective membrane and pressure swing adsorption (PSA)
technologies to produce high purity nitrogen from compressed air. Parker Nitrogen generators are
designed to continually transform standard compressed air into nitrogen as safe, regulated pressures
with the requirement. Nitrogen generator, typically membrane uses compressed air to produce nitrogen
gas by removing the constituent atmospheric oxygen content.

Nitrogen generator works on a unique design and advanced energy-saving technology that requires less
compressed air to generate more nitrogen, as their presence is near 78% so it removes very less air with
that is with oxygen. Substantially lower servicing costs, reduced downtime, and longer working life make
it the most cost-efficient nitrogen supply available. Additional benefits include

 Sustainability – short payback on investment as no maintenance cost, long service life, low
energy utilization and reduced CO2 footprint.

Installation Process
This generator is in Installation for Packing machines of Cake Line, this shifting location is on
monthly basis and unit is on testing and on proper checking.

Shifting Equipment:

Shifting of Nitrogen equipment on Solar Roof with Crane and hand over to Commissioning ARN
team for starting process.
Installation of Nitrogen Generator:

Open and Lifting the generator (1200KG) and dryer from the pallet and reached its desired
location. During shifting check all generator inlet and outlets connections of compressed air and
buffer tank pipe connections.

New nitrogen generator has following equipment’s received

 Nitrogen Generator
 Air Dryers unit
 Dryer Filters
 Line Filters

After checking all points, Check pressure vessels, pipe-work, equipment and connections during
installation and complete with all piping work. At the end ensure that the system is completely
gas-tight.

While piping work install filters element in air dryers and line filters on main air line of
generator.
Pressure Regulator
A pressure regulator will be installed directly upstream from the nitrogen generator to set and
maintain the inlet air pressure. Maintaining a constant inlet air pressure is critical to the
performance of the system. The regulator should be properly sized to prevent a pressure drop
at the generator inlet.

Compressed Air
The Parker Balston Nitrogen Generator requires a source of clean, dry compressed air between
60 psig and 145 psig for operation.

Oxygen Monitor
The galvanic cell was installed from factory into the generator prior to shipment. This analyzer
checked by ARN team and Verify after operations.

Generator Operation: Calibration


Plug the power cord into the power receptacle of the generator,
The inlet and outlet connections to the Parker Nitrogen Generator must be checked for leaks prior to
system start-up. After the system is properly installed and checked for leaks, the inlet gate valve can be
opened to introduce compressed air to the system.
During start-up and adjustment of the system, the nitrogen produced by the unit will be of variable
purity. But after proper startup its Oxygen percentage was equal to 0.00 %
System is still in operation and under observation.

Check oxygen analyzer values and percentage of oxygen in generator output, this reading is under
observation and also maintaining in log sheet.
Dryer
Place all filters element in dryers and Check all the operations of air dryer by passing
compressed air. Its digital dew point meter is also check and its factory installed filters are also
checked. As The filtered air may contain water vapors and should be purified further by water
separator.
