The questions are designed as a guide for on-call interviews which we hope to arrange with brand

representatives, that will be personalized further according to the brand we engage with.
Questions for industry personnel:-
General questions:

1. What are some of the emerging trends that you can identify in terms of ingredients being used in this
space? Does your brand focus on transparency with regards to sourcing and kinds of ingredients used? Is
your customer conscious about this?
2. What are some of the newer categories in your product portfolio? What has been the response to these
categories?
3. Is transparency in terms of ingredients essential to personalized products? Is it a customer preference?
4. Did you prepare for the pandemic? Have you restructured your product offerings for the pandemic
period, and what was the customers’ response on it? (In the period of Jan – March)

Personalized offerings brand and e-commerce questions:

1. What are the trends you can identify when it comes to offering customers personalized offerings?
2. How would you describe the reaction of customers to getting personalized products online without
tangible interactions with the brand and its personnel? (Contrary to traditional methods of designing a
regimen.) Do you identify this lack of interaction as a problem? If yes, how are you looking to mitigate
this problem?
3. In your experience, are customers more willing to pay a higher price for products by a brand that
delivers on the sustainability brief with regards to practices as well as packaging? Do you see a similar
behaviour for personalized products?
4. Do your customers agree that online consultations are as effective as offline consultations? What is the
conversion rate for your online store?

Pre and Post pandemic questions:

1. Who is your customer now? Can you identify any significant changes in your customer profile over the
period prior and post the lockdown?
2. What are the significant trends you can identify in the market pre and post pandemic? (w.r.t Sales,
Customer behavior and Products in demand)
3. How has the pandemic impacted the brand in terms of sales? For repeat customers, were there
significant changes in the bill amounts – prior, during and post the lockdown?
4. Could you identify categories that stood out in terms of performance during this pandemic period?
