STATEMENT OF PURPOSE FOR DEPARTMENT HEAD

My interest in social works and my decision to continue my education in the field of law is the
outcome of my profoundness to work with your organization as the department head.

I have so far completed two years of the BBA-L.LB program at ICFAI Law School, The ICFAI
University, Dehradun (holds a decent 9.9 CGPA) and I just came to realization that my
undergraduate studies will soon be completed and I now see that this is a very crucial phase of
my career because I have to decide specific direction in which I need to move forward to. I am
greatly interested in towards the aspect of being involved in a social work environment. This
is basically the main reason why I am looking to work with your organization

It is my greatest desire to become a part of this rapidly moving community. In order to attain
my goals, I have already shown a keen interest in the field of social work one of which was
internship at CHETNA, Delhi which deepens my interest to work for the society.

I firmly believe that learning can be done by actually doing it and I find practical exposure as
a very fascinating aspect that I can get myself involved in. I am aware of the high reputation of
your foundation and the excellent programs/ projects that you are currently undergoing and I
believe it will certainly help me with my training and career objectives either through work or
leadership as the department head where I will be able to apply my knowledge and skills
obtained through studies at your organization.

I hope you will give me the opportunity to realize my ambition.
