Online dating is a system that enables people to find and introduce themselves to possible

connections over the Internet, usually with the goal of developing personal and  romantic
relationships. Some people today feel insecure about themself and they cannot meet someone in
their everyday lives so they turn to the internet to find a partner. Online dating has become the
new way of finding your soul mate. Some famous sites and apps are,  BumblePlenty, 
FishHinge,  OKCupid and Zoosk. 

I think meeting people through online dating websites is not a bad thing and people who use
these platforms shouldnt judged.  Infact, I think  it is a tool that facilitates the chances of meeting
people you’ll get along.  One of the benefits of online dating is ease. There is a comfort when
entering an app from the sofa and finding hundreds of people who you could meet. All on the
platform with the same purpose, finding a romantic partner. Online dating also brings new
opportunities. The online world connects you with people that you would surely never know
otherwise, it brings you closer to people that you may have very far away or that you had never
considered talking to. It opens up a jar of endless opportunities for you.

Another benefit of online dating is that you can overcome shyness. The internet is ideal for
people who are more introverted, more fearful, or who have more insecurities about themselves. 
It allows them to meet people without having to go through that first contact, face to face. In this
way people avoid the initial feeling of possible rejection and, therefore, people feel more secure.
Online dating also allows you to feel the intentions of the people you contact. Before proposing a
meeting or starting a conversation to get to know each other, you can ask the appropriate
questions to find out if the person has the same intentions and meets those requirements to
continue knowing them. You basically have a filter that reduces the probability that it will go
wrong or not what you expected.

Online dating also gives you the chance of making new friends. If they are not “the one” they
could become a great friend who have similarities with you. Due to the platforms you can find
people with similar interest than you. These similarities in taste could be a potential source of
connection, that may lead to life long friendships. Therefore, there are many people who use
these platforms to meet people with similar interests, that can make their lives happier.

In conclusion people who use online dating should not be judged for the benefits we saw before.
It takes of the risk of yourself, because you dont know them, and can stop communicating with
them whenever needed. You can know the purpose when meeting new people, it gives you a
higher chance of finding “the one” due to its huge member population and online dating gives
hope to those ppeople who have little time in meeting other people to find a romantic partner.
The Internet gives everyone the opportunity to connect with a lot of different types of human
beings. Online dating is only going to be worth it if you put in the time and effort.  But, if you
simply just want to date around or meet new people, online dating is the place for you. In my
perspective it is pretty cool thing because these platforms give you many alternatives, you can 
find very cool and amazing people near you.
