Imagery is a potent method of stress reduction, especially when combined
with physical relaxation methods such as deep breathing. One common use of
visualization in relaxation is to imagine a scene, place or event that you
remember as safe, peaceful, restful, beautiful and happy.
You are instructed to use Visualisation with positive thinking in your lab
practical session or at your home and capture your reflection from your
imagination/visualisation. Present your visualisation work in your lab class
and the same should be uploaded in the V-TOP.
What Is Visualization?
 This visualization therapy method is the process where a practitioner
induces someone to attain a state of consciousness until that person can
be desensitized to apprehension, panic, and even pain.

 During this state, the person can be suggested to drop away fear and not
feel pain. The basis of this idea is that in trance-like state the mind can
control the processes of the body. Sigmund Freud was said to have used
this method to his patients before he favoured the use of psychoanalysis.’

 Visualization is another powerful technique that can help you unwind and
relieve stress. Visualization involves using mental imagery to achieve a
more relaxed state of mind. Similar to daydreaming, visualization is
accomplished through the use of your imagination.

 There are several reasons why visualization can help you cope with panic
disorder, panic attacks, and agoraphobia. Consider how your thoughts
wander when you feel panic or anxiety. When experiencing a panic attack,
your mind may focus on the worry, the worst things that can happen and
other cognitive distortions that only add to your sense of fearfulness.

 Visualization works to expand your ability to rest and relax by focusing

your mind on more calming and serene images.

MY WORK:

 In Germanic mythology, Thor is a hammer-wielding god associated with

lightning, thunder, storms, sacred groves and trees, strength, the
protection of mankind and also hallowing and fertility. Besides Old Norse,
extensions of the god occur in Old English as Þunor and in Old High
German as Donar. All forms of the deity stem from a Common Germanic
*Þunraz (meaning thunder).
 Thor is a prominently mentioned god throughout the recorded history of
the Germanic peoples, from the Roman occupation of regions of
Germania, to the Germanic expansions of the Migration Period, to his high
popularity during the Viking Age, when, in the face of the process of the
Christianization of Scandinavia, emblems of his hammer, Mjölnir, were
worn and Norse pagan personal names containing the name of the god
bear witness to his popularity.
 I’m not really a good drawer. I’m sorry about my drawing I did it as part of
assignment but visualizing the thing that which I like makes me happy and
helps reduces stress. I felt funny and stress free while drawing this picture.
