THE COUNT OF MONTE CRISTO (MOVIE)

Simon David Perez Garcia

This movie entails the life of Edmond Dantes, a sailor whose life changed throughout
several startling events that not only determine his present, but also his destiny. At first
everything seemed to go well for him since he got a new position in the ship he sailed , also
he was happy to marry his lover mercedes and enjoyed of well established friendships,
however this flawless life turn around overnight when jealousy and greediness took away
everything he ever had, So the timeline of events went like this: he was betrayed by his
friend, his wife married another man, he was sent to prison forcibly, he was also beaten up
hard, consequently he lost his freedom and justice mockered him daintily.

Here I go again, pointing out the following rule of thumb “give good and get good” as I´ve
never seen no one that spread terror and wickeness gets back good, so this movie exposes
deeply who we really are as humans and certain the stages we must go through to seek
balance and find our focus in life. Following up with the events: Edmond Dantes spent
many years in prison shaping his own well-being, learning to be strong, appreciating the
Little things and at the same time he became smart, sophisticated, well behaved, fragile, all
this and more worked out for his sake. Now lets´ turn the page and bring to life another
remarkable moment when vegeance was an option for him, even though he decided to do
good while justice was acting upon those who hurt and ruined his life.

To conclude, I want to highlight the power of justice and freedom as a man will never say
he is free without being tested by justice. So the plot ended just like this: Dantes was
mocked but then he laughed, he was weaked and then became strong but most importantly
he found out after many years the great support and love his wife had on him. At the end he
felt relieved because he knew deep down the Metamorphosis he underwent was simply
neccesary for him to grow and be an honorable man.
