Ans. Democracy is a political system where people have
the right to choose their leader for a fixed period of time.

Ans. The word democracy has been derived from the two
Greek words-‘Demos’ which means ‘people’ and ‘kratos’
means the ‘rule’ or ‘Government’.

Ans. Government is a body within an organization that

and regulations.

Ans. A Government that has a monarch where his/her
powers are strictly limited by the popularly elected
Government Eg: UK.
13. WHAT IS RENAISSANCE?
Ans. Renaissance is reformation in the old ideas or the
emergence of new ideas.
14. WHAT DO YOU MEAN BY SOVEREIGNITY?
Ans. Sovereignty is a complete political authority to
govern oneself without any external interference.
15. WHAT IS DEMOCRACY IN THE WORDS OF ABRAHAM
LINCOLN?
Ans. According to Abraham Lincoln, ‘It is the Government
of the people, by the people and for
the people.
