    The transmission configuration for ASV vehicles with serial numbers 01 through 126 was changed by the OEM due to a vendor change. The new transmission NSN is 2520-01-538-6824 and requires a new output flange, o-ring, and cotter pin that must be ordered separately until a kit is assembled. Orders for the old transmission NSN 2520-01-472-6313 will be cancelled and require reordering under the new NSN.

    Subject: ASV Transmission

    All,

    The OEM had to change the transmission configuration due to a vendor change. The
    NSN for the newer transmission is 2520-01-538-6824. The change affected the output
    shaft which changed the number of splines from 43 to 41. This change requires a new
    output flange. Therefore, if you have vehicle Serial Number 01 through 126, you must
    order the following parts along with the transmission.

    1. NSN 2520-01-537-2306, Flange, Output


    2. NSN 5331-01-497-9076, O-Ring
    3. NSN 5315-01-483-6462, Cotter Pin

    We are working with DLA to put these items into a Kit, but until that is accomplished
    and an NSN assigned to it, you will need to order these parts separately.

    If you have NSN 2520-01-472-6313 on order, you will receive a CA message and will
    have to re-order under the new NSN.
