Sydney Rowing Club, Abbotsford

Catch a ferry along the Parramatta River to the Abbotsford Wharf, home of the famous Sydney
Rowing Club. Established in 1870, SRC is the oldest rowing club in NSW with past members
including A.B. “Banjo” Patterson and the first Prime Minister of Australia, Sir Edmund Barton.
Completing a full redevelopment in November 2007 Sydney Rowing Club has since won many
awards for best Club Development (2009), Best Restaurant “Dedes Restaurant”  (2008, 2009 and

May Gibbs' Nutcote, Neutral Bay

Visit the beautiful harbour-side Nutcote, home of May Gibbs, author of “The Complete
Adventures of Snugglepot & Cuddlepie.” Located in Sydney’s Neutral Bay and now a house
museum surrounded by delightful gardens with a tea room, Nutcote is an enchanting venue to be
enjoyed by everyone, all year round.

During the Neutral Bay Wharf closure you can still visit Nutcote. Take the ferry to Kurraba Point
Wharf - it's a 5-8 minute walk from the wharf - though this does include some stairs and slights
hills. For customer using mobility aids or prams, please take the ferry to Cremorne Point Wharf
and change for the 225 bus. The bus stops at the corner of Lower Wycome Road and Wallaringa
