INTRODUCTION: Truck Lagbe, Inc is Bangladesh’s leading digital


platform for shipping and freight booking which was found on 1 st June
2016 by its CEO Anayet Rashid. The app has been made available on Android and iOS. It was awarded
the first prize in ICT Innovation Challenge in 2017. It facilitates the truck owners to provide their trucks
for hire and feasible price. As there are no intermediaries, consumers and customers are able to hire
trucks at a cheaper price. Customers are able to choose their preferred bid’s truck operator in the app.

Alongside the app, Truck Lagbe also provides regular corporate service to many companies like Phulhar,
BMS Logistics Inc, Easy tech ltd, National trading syndicate ltd and Next food and service ltd.

Truck Lagbe provides various sizes of trucks, which are made available and readily choosable for the
feasibility of customers. From 1 Ton trucks to 25 Ton and prime movers, all are available for customer
service.

Truck Lagbe provides customer with premium features like cost-effective fare, customer care service,
verified truck drivers.

Mitigation of intermediaries: Truck Lagbe Inc. deals with two interdependent segments of stakeholders
based on their needs; one segment comprises of the truck owners/drivers and the other one of
consumers, shippers and businesses. Truck Lagbe acts as an electronical marketplace for by establishing
a direct connection between truck drivers and consumers. It mitigates the middlemen, agents and
agencies, thus creates transparency in the transaction and the entire process. It also ensures that the
truck owners and drivers have their return trips sorted. It materially upgrades the business of traditional
truck owners by getting rid of the multiple layers of middle men and ensuring they get their deserved
price. Truck Lagbe also helps the amateur truck business owners to get rides consistently.

Truck Lagbe has also resolved challenges for the consumers who earlier faced difficulties hiring
transportations.

Truck lagbe succeeded because of its core value to its customers. Customers have found it easier to hire
truck through an online platform than traditionally. The official Truck Lagbe app is user-friendly and has
been made in a way that customers from all walks of life can hire trucks without any hassle. Now, the
core perception that Truck Lagbe has positioned in the market is that ‘Truck Lagbe makes hiring trucks
easier’. The value proposition made by Truck Lagbe to its suppliers is chances is good business by using
the app

Struggle: Initially Truck Lagbe was struggling entering both the supplier and shipper market.

and drivers suffer from lack of trips and suboptimal business returns

Generally speaking, truck transportation is a difficult industry. It remains


largely archaic and is littered with problems like middleman and syndicate that
have been a major challenge for the efficiency of the industry. Due to the
nature of the industry, Truck Lagbe had to struggle and work doubly hard to
find a footing in the industry in the early days. The Truck Lagbe team,
however, has remained persistent and doggedly pursued the industry.
Truck Lagbe has made the entire process efficient for both the truck owners
and the customers
overall trip efficiency of the industry . Through a combination of hard work,
innovation, and ingenuity, the company has managed to break into the
industry. Truck Lagbe addresses these challenges and improves the overall
return of the truck owners by improving transparency and inefficiency.
Struggle: While it eventually gets easier to attract both shippers and truck
owners, in the early days it is an uphill battle to attract either for any platform.
Platforms usually ensue a self-perpetuating cycle once it reaches a critical
mass of users threshold.
