The Price
is Paid!
When Jesus sat
down at the right
Pastor Joe McIntyre hand of the Father,
He had paid the price for our complete
redemption. All that was necessary for
the salvation of every man woman and
child was provided. God was, “in Christ,
reconciling the world unto Himself, not
imputing their trespasses against them”
(2 Cor. 5:19). Jesus is the propitiation (or
satisfaction) not only for our sins, but for
the sins of the whole world (1 Jn. 2:2).
God is not willing that any perish but that
all come to repentance (2 Pet. 3:9). Jesus
has provided a perfect redemption for all.
Does this mean that all are or will be
saved? No, this means that “God so loved
the world that He sent His only begotten
Son that whoever believes in Him should
not perish but have everlasting life”
(Jn.3:16). In order for what Jesus purchased
to become the personal possession of the
individual, he or she must come to faith
in Christ and His Finished Work. He must
repent and believe the gospel.
Paul makes this clear in the 10th
Chapter of Romans: “If you confess with
your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in
your heart that God raised Him from
the dead you will be saved”(v. 9). Every
individual must come to faith in the
resurrection of Jesus and personally receive
Him as Lord. How will this be accomplish-
ed? Paul responds, “How then shall they
call on Him in whom they have not
believed? And how shall they believe in

T here are two phases or sides
of Redemption. One is
what God in Christ did for us,
and the other is what the
Holy Spirit through the
Word does in us.
When we are confused in
regard to these two ministries, our
prayer life is weakened, our testi-
mony loses its power and our expo-
sitions of the scripture are ofttimes
misleading.
The whole plan of Redemption is
wrapped up in those forty-nine days
from the time that Jesus was nailed
to the cross until He sat down at the
right hand of the majesty on high.
The entire Pauline Revelation has
to do with what Jesus did during that
period from the crucifixion until He
was seated, aside from the book of
Hebrews which deals with what Christ
is doing today.
Christ has a ministry today at the
right hand of the Father.
He is the High Priest, Saviour, the
Mediator between God and man. As
the Intercessor, He is the Advocate,
the Surety of the New Covenant, and
He is the Lord of the New Creation.
That covers His present ministry.
But the thing we want to think
about is first, what Christ did for us
from the time He died on the cross
until He sat down at the right hand
of God.
He satisfied the claims of justice
against humanity.
Man has sinned, committed high
treason, an unpardonable sin. He had

challenged the grace and love of
God.
He had trampled under
foot God’s loving kind-
ness and now it was
necessary that Jesus pay the
penalty of man’s transgression.
This He did.
When He carried His blood
into the Heavenly Holy of Holies
and it was accepted by God, it proves
beyond a shadow of a doubt that
man can stand before God as a New
Creation without condemnation and
with no charges against him.
The second thing He had to do was
to conquer Satan. Man is a subject of
the devil. He must be conquered.
Rev. 1:18, Heb. And Col. 2:15 give
a summary of Jesus’ victory over the
adversary.
Rom. 6:14, “For Sin shall not lord
it over you.”
Sin and Satan are identical.
Col. 1:13-14, “Who delivered us
out of the authority of darkness and
translated us into the kingdom of the
Son of His Love.”
Satan has no dominion over the
New Creation.
We are the actual sons and daugh-
ters of God, heirs of God and joint
heirs with Jesus Christ.
When He arose from the dead, He
arose because humanity was Justified.
“He was delivered up on the

raised because we stood right with
God,” or we were declared righteous.

What a tragedy it is to enter
eternity without receiving Christ
as Savior. Jesus has already paid

share the gospel with them so they
can see the light of the glory of God
in the face of Jesus (2 Cor. 4:6)

When you accept Jesus Christ as
Saviour and confess Him as your Lord,
you receive the very nature of God.
You become a very child of God.
The judgement and condemnation
that was upon you is gone. You stand
complete in Him, reconciled without
condemnation, as free to walk in the
Father’s presence as Jesus.
The Father has given you His Own
nature, this love nature.
You become His love herald, to go
and carry love’s message to the world.
What an honor, what a mighty fact.
Not only has He made you a New
Creation, but He actually fitted you so
that the Holy Spirit could come and
dwell in your body, making it His per-
manent home here on earth.
The indwelling fact is the most
tremendous fact connected with our life.
He gave to us a legal right to the
use of His Name.
We are to break the power of
demons, heal the sick, deliver men who
are in bondage to circumstances.
When you pray in Jesus’ Name it is
as though Jesus were praying.
To the man who knows his rights
in Christ, the day of poverty is over.
The day of prosperity has come.
You have a right to healing. Jesus
bore your sins and diseases.
He put your sin and your diseases
away. By His stripes, the Father says
you are perfectly healed.
Now the Master Cries, “All things
are ready.” You have a perfect
Redemption, a perfect New Creation,
a perfect Righteousness, a perfect
fellowship, a perfect indwelling, a
perfect right to use the Name of Jesus.
All this is yours and awaits you.
All you need to do is to take what
belongs to you.
Your Redemption from Satan is
ready. Your redemption lets you into
the Father’s very presence.
The New Creation is ready. Healing
by His stripes is ready. ✞
