WHAT YOU NEED:

- 3-ply (or ​Light Fingering) y

​ arn pink color:

● Cotton Soft YarnArt (600 m/100 g)

● Coast Holst Garn (350 m/50 g)

- hook 1.25mm (or your usual hook size for this yarn);

- soft stuffing and wooden stick for stuffing;

- yarn needle for sewing details and fine sewing needle for decorative elements;

- decorative elements;

- 2 mm safety eyes;

- pastel blush for cheeks.

For scarf:

- 3-ply (or ​Light Fingering) y

​ arn grey color;

- ​circular ​
needles 2 mm.

For joining head ​(optional):

- 15 mm discs - 2 pcs;

- T-shaped cotter pin 20 mm long - 1 pc;

- round pliers

If using the same materials, your finished piggy should measure more or less 10
cm.

You can use another yarn and a matching hook. Then the size of the finished toy
may be different.

CROCHET INSTRUCTION

Recommendations:

1. Every detail begins with an amigurumi ring (a magic ring). Crochet in a spiral,
do not crochet a slip stitch at the end of the row.

2. Try to crochet tightly, if you find your stitches are loose try a smaller hook
size.

3. During crocheting, always stuff your toy with polyfill. Firmly filling will assure
your toy keeps it shape. Use wooden sticks: chinese chopsticks / skewers /
manicure sticks. For finer details, choose thinner sticks.

4. If your toy is for child under 3, use safety eyes or embroidered eyes. And also
do not add small and fragile decorative elements.

Crochet from the bottom up, so start from the legs.

FIRST LEG

Rd 1: 7sc in MR

Rds 2-4 (3 rounds): 7sc (7 sts)

Rd 5: 3sc, 2sc inc, 3sc (8 sts)

Rd 6: 4sc, 2sc inc, 3sc (9 sts)

Rd 7: 9sc (9 sts)

Rd 8: 4sc, 2sc inc, 4sc (10 sts)

FO last stitch and cut yarn.

SECOND LEG

Repeat rounds 1-8 but do not fasten off.

JOINING LEGS

Continue to crochet from the second leg. At the beginning of the rounds use the
marker ​(I have a red thread).​ It will help you to control the beginning of the
rounds.

R9 crochet across both legs in a circle with 8-chain stitches between them, so
that in total you will have 36 stitches.

Rd9 begin from 2nd leg. Crochet 5 sc around the 2nd leg. Then crochet​a
​ chain
of​8 ch ​(= ​ch8-chain)​. Still holding the last chain stitch of the​ch8-chain​on your
hook, take the 1st leg and crochet 10sc around 1st leg.

Crochet a
​ triple single crochet ​in the first of the 10sc around the second leg,
by doing this there is no hole visible at the join. To do this:

1. Insert your hook into the base of last loop of Rd8, yarn over and pull up a
loop. You should have ​two loops​on your hook ⇒

2. After that insert your hook in the next stitch, yarn over and pull up a loop.
You should have ​three loops​on your hook ⇒

3. Yarn over and crochet all 3 loop together. First stitch is done.

Continue to crochet the remaining 9sc. You should crochet around leg and finish
at the other side of chain.

Then​8 sc ​along the ch8-chain​and 5 sc around the remaining stitches of the 2nd
leg. ​Also here crochet ​a triple single crochet i​n the first stitch. A
​ fter that
crochet the remaining 4sc.

A short version of Rd9:

5sc,​8
​ ch,​ 10sc, ​8sc,​ 5sc (36 sts)

You will now begin the increase rounds. These increases are at the joins between
the legs and tummy.

Rd 10: 5sc, ​2sc inc, 6sc, 2sc inc, ​10sc, ​2sc inc, 6sc, 2sc inc,​​5sc (40 sts)

Rd 11: 5sc, ​2sc inc, 8sc, 2sc inc​, 10sc, ​10sc​,​5​sc (42sts)

Rds 12-17: 6 rounds sc (42 sts)

Recommendations
1.Now you need to stuff the legs. Use a thin wooden stick.

2. After several repeated rounds, the beginning of the rounds start to displace .
Move the beginning of the round back. To do this crochet 2 extra sc in the end of
Rd17. The total amount of stitches in the round​​remains the same.

Check yourself: fold your body in half, the beginning of the round should be
exactly on the side.

ARMS ​(make two)

Rd 1: 7sc in MR

Rds 2 -18 (17 rounds): 7sc (7 sts)

Stuff the arm during your crocheting with a wooden stick. Fill into about 2/3 of
the arm, leave the top of the arm empty.

Rd 19: ​fold the ear in half and crochet 3sc, joining both sides.

FO last stitch and cut yarn. Leave a long tail for sewing.

Crochet another arm.

HEAD

Begin crocheting from the pig nose.

Rd 1 (in MR): sc, dc, tr, 5dc, tr, dc, sc (11 sts)

Rd 2: 11sc tbl (11 sts)

Rd 3: dec, 7sc, dec (9 sts)

The pig nose is done, then crochet the head.

Rd 4: 2sc inc*9 (18 sts)

Rd 5: 1sc, 2sc inc, [2sc, 2sc inc]*5, 1sc (24 sts)

Rd 6: [3sc, 2sc inc]*6 (30 sts)

Rd 7: 2sc, 2sc inc, [4sc, 2sc inc]*5, 2sc (36 sts)

If you are using safety eyes, place them between rounds 9 and 10 with a
distance of 20 sts between each eye.

Rd 20: [5sc, dec]*6 (36 sts)

Now you need to attach the head to the body, if you are using a cotter pin.

Insert the cotter pin in the head between 42nd and 43rd stitches of R12.

From here on you can start stuffing with the filling.

Add the stuffing and make sure that the head is stuffed very firmly and keeps
the form.

Rd 23: [2sc, dec]*6 (18 sts)

Rd 24: 18sc (18 sts)

Rd 25: [1sc, dec]*6 (12 sts)

Stuff the head for the last time, taking care to fill around the opening to keep
the head rounded. It shouldn’t be flattened.

Rd 26: 6 dec (6 sts)

FO last stitch, close the opening after the final round and cut yarn. Hide the tail
inside the head.

EARS ​( make two).

Rd 1: 6 sc in MR

Rd 2: [2sc, 2sc inc]*2 (8 sts)

Rd 3: [3sc, 2sc inc]*2 (10 sts)

Rd 4: [4sc, 2sc inc]*2 (12 sts)

Crochet another one.

TAIL

Crochet a chain of 15 ch.

Begin from 2nd stitch from the hook crochet sl st to the end.

FO last stitch and cut yarn. Leave a long tail for sewing.

SCARF ​(knitting)

Take grey yarn and circular needles 2 mm.

Cast on 33 sts, join the stitches into

a round.

Rows 1-3: K2 P2 rib

Rows 4-32: stocking stitch

Rows 33-35: K2 P2 rib

Cast off stitches and break yarn.

FO last stitch and cut yarn and hide

the tails.

ASSEMBLING AND DECORATION

1. Sew the head to the body with a hidden seam.

If you are using a cotter pin, skip this step.

2. Sew the arms to the body. Make sure there are on one level. ​Embroider the
hoof on the arms and legs.

3. Sew the tail to the body between 7 and 8 rounds.

4. Sew the ears to the head (rds 15-17 with a distance of 12 sts) .

5. Decorate the face:

- fix or embroider the eyes,

- embroider holes on the nose with a pair of stitches,
- tint the cheeks with a pastel blush.

6. Put on a scarf ​through the legs.

7. You can add some cute details to your piggy to make it special.

I crochet a tiny decoration on the head (6sc in MR and ties-threads) and sewed
mini buttons on the scarf.

The piggy is ready!
