CONSTITUTIONAL LAW

UNDERSTANDING OF THE CONSTITUTION

A constitution is a set of fundamental principles or norms that form the legal foundation of a
political body, corporation or other type of entity and generally decide how that entity should
be governed. Although it is not of significant importance, a constitution usually starts off with
a preamble. A country’s constitution is considered to be the supreme source for the
legislations and the political and bureaucratic setup of it. Since all the particular laws are read
with the constitutional provisions concerning it, it is extremely important that the constitution
is flexible while also avoid being vague, in which case it defeats the purpose of having one.
