GRADE 11 COMPUTER SYSTEM SERVICING 1

Life in the modern age can be a challenge. That’s because technology is involved in
almost every aspect of our lives.

Good day Rosean!

I am Sir Leo and I will be your Computer System Servicing 1 Teacher.

According to the TESDA TRAINING REGULATIONS FOR COMPUTER SYSTEMS SERVICING NC II

The COMPUTER SYSTEMS SERVICING NC II Qualification consists of the following


competencies:

 to enable to install and configure computers systems,


 set-up computer networks and servers and
 maintain and repair computer systems and networks.

In the DepEd Kto12 Curriculum the CSS or Computer System Servicing is under the TVL or
Technical Vocational Livelihood (TVL) Track in Information Communications and Technology or
ICT Strand.

This subject is design to give you the technical skills and knowledge in using tools and
equipment that allows people to interact in the digital world.

The Subject CSS 1 will be offered 1st Semester of this School Year 2020-2021 from August until
the end September 2020.

There are 7 Common Competencies you must possess after this course.

These are:

 APPLYING QUALITY STANDARDS


 PERFORMING COMPUTER OPERATIONS
 PERFORMING MENSURATION AND CALCULATION
 PREPARING AND INTERPRETING TECHNICAL DRAWING
 USING OF HAND TOOLS
 TERMINATING AND CONNECTING ELECTRICAL WIRING AND ELECTRONICS CIRCUIT
(TCEW)
 TESTING ELECTRONIC COMPONENTS (TEC)
Also there are 4 Core Competencies that you must possess to qualify and pass the Computer
System Servicing NC II

These are:

 INSTALLING AND CONFIGURING COMPUTER SYSTEMS (ICCS)


 SETTING-UP COMPUTER NETWORKS (SUCN
 SETTING UP COMPUTER SERVERS (SUCS)
 MAINTAINING AND REPAIRING COMPUTER SYSTEMS AND NETWORKS (MRCN)

The best things about this strand is you can earn the CSS NC II by completing the 640 Hours of
Training from your Grade 11 and 12, and passing the TESDA Competency Assessment.
