Position Description
We are currently seeking a motivated student to join the team as a Mechanical Engineering
Intern. In this role, you will gain exposure to a wide variety of engineering tasks by working
closely with designers, engineers and project managers. By joining the Automation team, you
will learn about the development of automated manufacturing systems. Some of your
responsibilities will include:

 Perform engineering calculations with respect to strength of materials, speeds,


horsepower, temperature, pressure, force, etc.
 Assist in creating designs for customers, based on specifications and applicable design
standards.
 Coordinate project details by keeping all stakeholders (customers, project manager,
engineers and designers) up to date.
 Document projects as needed.
 Other tasks as assigned.

In order to succeed, you need to be a team player, with strong interpersonal and
communication skills, and have a keen eye for detail. You should be self-motivated to further

This internship is available Summer 2019 semester (May – August 2019) and the incumbent will
be expected to work full-time hours (40 hours per week).

Requirements

 You must be currently enrolled in an accredited institution, pursuing a Bachelor’s


Degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering.
 Experience with SolidWorks, or similar solid modeling programs.
 Due to the nature of some CAID projects, ability to gain ITAR clearance is required. (?)
