o Touching own’s face – self soothing
o Looking around – processing the things that they are thinking about
o Pinocchio effect – single behavior indicative of deception
 Nonverbal cues/Body language
o The body
 Hair – is it healthy, well-groomed
 Forehead – reveals stress
 Eye – see if they’re red or do not have enough sleep. Blink rate
 Nose – use the bunny nose to indicate their disagreement
 Lips – compress or suck their lips when something bothers
them
 Cheeks and Jaw – look at the Mandibula and look at the cheeks.
Sometimes they rub their tongue against the inside of the cheek
 Neck – head is tilted, they are relaxed. Head tilt goes away,
might be some issues.
 Shoulder – something that they don’t know, shoulder should go
up very quickly
 Hands – something’s troubling them, tend to stiffen and
interlace them and move them back and forth very slowly,
almost like a tipi. Different from a stipple

3) What observations in the poker players' non-verbal communication stand

out to you? Explain your answer.

- The scene when player number two and three put their hands on the top of
cards. It’s like caging a card or putting the hands directly at the top of a card
this means that their cards is important and must not be shown really. For
me this stands out the most because we can understand easily the hand
movement of the players.
