Relative to interpretations of Bonifacio and del Pilar about Pacto de Sangre, explain how has
differing political perception about it affects our national consciousness?

Filipino people believed in that the “Pacto De Sangre” was the first international treaty. However,
with Bonifacio and Del Pilar’s opinion, the Filipino people may be shocked of what really transpired
during Pacto De Sangre. I have two major points which is, false history and shocking revelation.
Throughout the years, we have been fed by false history which means the meaning that was
implanted to our minds that during the Pacto De Sangre, we are already on equal footing with the
Spaniards, however that wasn’t really the case. It was a deception for the Filipinos to believe that
we are free. With this, a shocking revelation may be sent upon the Filipinos, they will feel deceived
and they will “seek the truth” which will bring us to be national conscious. Differing perceptions
bring forth by credible people (Bonifacio and Del Pilar) always has an influence to what people
may believe.
