Actros Clutch for Manual Transmission

In the Mercedes Actros heavy vehicles, with power aid for Hydraulic-pneumatic power
engagement (manual transmission), in the case of removing and reconnection of gearshift
or devices for the power aid for clutch is compulsory carry out a specific procedure
(initialization) which allow run again pre-selection "split" command, Engine brake and
Cruise Control.
Without this procedure, above features are locked.
This chances are possible through Axone Motor Truck, which allows to initialize the
"Clutch travel sensor".
For this purpose in the setting page ( icon hammer/screwdriver on the right top) of the
"vehicle engine setting" system (FR) is possible find two functions about clutch gasket:
-Initialization new clutch
-Initialization old clutch
The first one must be carry out when clutch gasket is replaced.
The second one must be carry out when a service to power aid clutch command device is
occurred.
In both cases procedure is very easy and it is enough follow scrupulously what reported
in the tool helps in order to initialize "Clutch travel sensor".
NB: It is strongly recommended to carry out settings only after well understood the
procedure and utility because of non forecasted settings may cause faults in the system,
compromising safety on route.
