Problem Concerning Management and Residents

My name is Kelvin Tee and I am the resident of ABC condominium, B2-19. I have been the
residents for 5 years. On behalf of the residents of condominium, I would like to bring to your
attention about the problem concerning management and residents.

1. Firstly, there are many problems concerning maintenance. Frequent lift break down is the
major problem especially during peak hours. Students always miss their bus and worker
always late for work. They are forced to use stairs and it is time-consuming. Besides, there is
always electricity cut. It brings a lot of inconvenience to housewives or those who are working
at home. They have to delay their task or work until power supply restore. It has also
contributed to the breakdown of lift.

2. Next, The facilities, especially the swimming pool and the gymnasium, have been poorly
maintained. The water in the swimming pool is not changed regularly. The low disinfectant
levels that can allow the spread of a variety of germs that cause diarrhea as well as skin and
respiratory problem. Some equipment and machines in gymnasium are malfunctioning for
months. Residents are not able to exercise or train in gym room.

3. Furthermore, the car park and staircase are poorly-lit. It is very dangerous for the residents
when they go to car park or walk up stair at night. I may cause unwanted accidents to happen
especially young children and senior citizens. (Robber or burglar or rapist commit crime at
somber corner)

4. Aside from that, there are some residents who have become a nuisance. Some of them turn
on the television or music loudly at unearthly (early morning or midnight) hour. They disrupt
other residents from having a good night’s sleep(slumber). Moreover, some people continue
to keep a pets even thought it is against the regulations. Many people have claimed to hear
dogs barking at night. Sometimes, there are also some strays loitering around the corridors or
stairs

5. Irresponsible residents should be blamed for not keeping the surrounding areas clean.
There is rubbish in the lift or around the common areas. It is such an eyesore to see the filthy
surrounding. In a long run, the condominium will become the breeding ground of pest.

6. The most serious issue of all is problems concerning security. People without access cards
are still able to enter the building at all hours of the day. There has been reports saying that
strangers are wandering in the car parks. This alarms the residents because the security
measures are ineffective. In addition, we always noticed that non-residents are able to use
the facilities in the condo. This is very unfair for the residents who are paying for those facility
fee. The management should restrict or limit the outsiders for the usage of facilities

We hope that the management will look into all the matters stated above and prompt
(immediate) action can be taken as soon as possible. Thank you.
