BSE-MATH II

From our previous discussion, Dr. Chua taught us about Outcome-Based

Curriculum, wherein it is a model of education that rejects the traditional focus on what
the school provides to students, in favor of making students demonstrate to what they
know and are able to do. OBE is actually the best system to make students actively
participating in the class presentations, activities, work sheets etc.
In my opinion, OBE is the best way to catch up with the new or modern normal.
Since we can’t have face to face classes for now, OBE can maintain or help us to get
our desired grades even without face to face activities. Because it (OBE) bases
educational system around goals or outcome by means of modules, lectures, written
works, and examinations we can cope up with the future lessons that our teachers or
professor given us. We can be benefited using OBE during this new normal. Unlike in
traditional education methods, this system has flexibility, with the clear sense of what
needs to be accomplished, teachers will instruct their lessons around the students
needs. It also includes involvement which is very important when attending classes. In
traditional method, students got less improvements because of lacking involvement.
OBE assures and pushes every students to participates in class by the use of activities
in modules, in that case students will comply to tasks and it might give them a chance to
have a higher grades than what they expected to get. But remember that no matter
what the method used always consider the learnings that we should impart to ourselves.
