1. Crises Communication course is required to focus on media


sensitivity based subject of Crises Communication on various
scenarios through research based information integration being the
approved syllabus of the Class.

2. Students are required to submit their research paper on the


following format, mentioned at para # 11below.

3. Assigned Topics at following para # 13 And The Groups


formulated in the class will not be changed and shall be taken as
final.

5. First draft of the Research Paper is to be submitted on 28thOct,
2019.

6. Second revised draft of the Research Paper will be submitted on 2nd


Nov, 2019.

7. Final draft of Research Paper shall be submitted on 21st Dec, 2019.


8. Viva/Defense of the research paper will be conducted after
submission of final draft, i.e. on: 28 th December, 2019. (Semester
Ends on 25th December, 2019.)

9. Class Representative (CR) is required to keep the record of the


signed copy of assigned topics of every student.

10. CR is also required to brief the students on any aspect of research


paper in consultation with the teacher.

11) FORMAT

i. Sequence of RP: Must be according to Model Table of Content at


following Para # 12

ii. Word Count / Size of The Research Paper:Research Paper shall


contain 10500 Words (with a plus minus of 350 words)

iii. Word Count does not include: Title, Table of Content and
Bibliography.

iv. Paper Size:A4

v. Margin Setting :Top - 1, Bottom 1", Left – 1", Right – 1" ,

vi. Line spacingof 1.5

vii. Font: 12 , “New Times Roman”

viii. Text: Must be “Justify” (Control + J)

ix. Heading:Font 14. All Headings must be Left Aligned, Bold with
No Underline.

While the Headings of Discussion/Chapters: Font: 14,


Centralized, Bold, No Under Line

x. Page Numbering:In the “Running Head” alongwith the Topic.

xi. Spell Check: Any spelling or punctuation mistake will be taken as


“Negative”.

xii. Video Clips and Photographs: Not more than 5 Pictures of 3x3
inches. CD of Video Document (if required) be attached.

xiii. Maps, Tables: If any table or Map is given in the RP than its
“Source” must be given beneath the Table/Map

xiv. No Fancy:No Italics, No Emoticons or Symbols or shapes other


than a graph.

xv. No Colour other than Black and white.

xvi. No Italics.

xvii. Chapters: There shall not be more than 3 chapters under the Title:
“Discussion’. Every chapter shall contain a title and the same title
of the chapter be mentioned in the Table of Content.

xviii. Title Page shall contain: 1) Draft Number, 2) Plagiarism %age, 3)


Word Count, 4) Topic of Research, 5) Name of the Student, 6)
Name of Supervisor, 7) Date of Submission, 8) Semester Session
with Year, 9) Name of Faculty and 10) Name of University.

xix. Binding of Final Research Paper (Only) in Black with Golden


Print on it. One copy in hard print. While the first Two Drafts must
be in Spiral Binding

xx. Soft Copy of Final RPs: CR shall prepare a folder of the Soft
Copies of Final Research Paper and hand over it to the professor
on the date of submission. No Final RP would be accepted without
the Soft Copy.

xxi. Plagiarism/Similarity Report


on the Title Sheet of All the Three Drafts, Every Student would get
it Certified under signature of either of the Three: 1) Mr. Noman
Ansari Asstt. Professor, 2) Mr. UmerFarooq, Coordinator RIMS or
From3) Ms. Nirmal: Faculty of RIMS as to whether the the
Turnitin (Turn it in: Software) for Plagiarism %age at the most
12% or below of every DRAFT and Final Research Paper, before
its submission to the Professor.

xxii. Size of Bibliography:


As per para number #: XXIII above, Any of the drafts will Not be
accepted carrying Less than 50 references quoted/referred in the
Draft out of the Research Papers of earlier conducted researches in
Bibliography. APA Style must be followed for referencing.

XXIIICitations/Referencing Break up:

• Introduction must contain 05 citations


• Background/Historical Overviewmust contain 05 citations
• Scope must contain 02 citations

• Review of Literature must contain 20 Citations
• Chapters must contain 18 citations

xxivViva Voce/Defense: is of only 03 marks. But, since this defense


will be made before the marking of the Research Paper; therefore it
would be having a “Direct Bearing” on the marks given out of rest of
35 marks.

xxvMarking Pattern:
03 marks for defense, 2 marks for format as at # 11 above.
35 marks for Write Up, Totaling to 40.
