Dear Sir,

We, hereby with this letter, would like to inform you about the progress of the work we have done so far
regarding our final year project on ‘Structural Analysis of Manmohan memorial hospital, Kathmandu’. The works
we conducted are as follows;

1. Finalization of hospital building.

2. Collection of architectural drawings.
3. Study of various codes like IS 456 2000 and IS 1893 2000 etc
4. Completion of preliminary design of beam, slab and column.
5. Partial Completion of Load Calculation of structural members of building.
6. Modeling of building in SAP.

Similarly, works that are yet to be accomplished are mentioned below;

1. Completion of load calculation

2. Assigning of loads in SAP and proceedings (eg. Base shear calculation, CG and seismic load calculation)
3. Analysis of the model and modifications when needed
4. Thesis writing and submission

The end of 7th semester is very near. The target for this semester as specified by our project supervisor Er. Saroj
Phaiju is ‘completion of analysis of model in SAP’. Presently, we are in load calculation and tracking the right
path we have been assigned. Almost 75% work of the assigned work has been completed so far and the
remaining 25% work will be completed by the end of next month.

Final year project is on its full swing since preliminary design has been all completed. The load calculation will
be completed by this week. Modeling on other hand is also on its full swing. Therefore, we would like to inform
you that we are perfectly on time and we meet our specified target on time.

Ultimately, we would like to thank our supervisor Er. Saroj Phaiju sir for the constant support and motivation.
We would also like to thank Er. Rameswor Shrestha and entire department of Civil Engineering of
Khwopa College of Engineering for letting us to choose the project we wanted to do and helping throughout the
journey so far.
