and passion of an individual and showcase the full extent of his or her capabilities and
inner innovativeness. As we tackle the era of the New Normal, young leaders like us
pursue the dream of making a difference despite the adversity that we may come
across. That is passion, drive, vigor, and love of leadership that every JPIAN has within
and is part of our repertoire.

This year’s Federation, we will keep on pushing forward and go beyond our limits. We
vision to have a new horizon for every JPIAN to see. A New Horizon for us to enjoy and
venture. We are never alone in this journey because we will surmount as one. We will
have each other as we trailblaze our way to our dream!

Handuyog: Surmounting as One, a phrase that speaks to everyone! Handuyog is a

word that came from the Cebuano term Handuraw and Duyog – imagine and together. It
is a reminder that we are free to dream and imagine a bright tomorrow. During trying
times, we imagine and hope for a silver lining and we can make it through altogether.

Handuyog! We will be empowered! We will continue to create a vision! A vision that we

will surmount as one.
