 Mechanical Engineering
The School of Mechanical Engineering
was established in 2010 along with the
university and with a short period
developed into a very vibrant teaching-
learning unit. Department of Mechanical
Engineering has well qualified and
committed faculty and staff who have
great exposure to various top-notch
institutions like IIT Delhi and Industry to
name few like General Motors and Ford
Tractors. They always follow a holistic
approach of teaching and aim at all-round
development of the students through their
creative and unique teaching methods.

They nurture the students’ analytic bent of mind by evaluating them continuously and guide them to grow into successful
professionals in their future endeavors. The students are learning to conceive, design, develop, manufacture and
operate machines and equipment to become great Mechanical Engineers. The mechanical engineering department is
involved from simple repair of machines to design and develop sophisticated vehicles for hilly terrain, from a single file
to CNC machines. No doubt Mechanical Engineering here is known to be an evergreen branch of engineering.

It is my great pleasure to be amongst the
first to welcome you to Bahra University and
your new life as an engineering student. One
of the truly great things in my view, about
joining such a new institution, is the
opportunity to truly build something new, and
to do so with relatively few constraints, at
least in comparison with most established
institutions of higher learning. We are
dedicated to helping you attain various
skills. And, I think we should also all have
the goal to have fun doing it! So I look
forward to getting to know you all a bit better
in the coming weeks and months, and to
hear your ideas about how the university and
its leadership can be helpful to you in your
efforts.
Finally, some practical thoughts on being successful as a college student: Take advantage of EVERY opportunity to
learn about what it is to be an engineer, whether it is lectures, labs, seminar series, and opportunities to
participate in career fairs or industrial days whatever. Many of your first academic challenges will be centered on
math, physics, language, and other basic subjects: but do not forget to take time also to figure out where this is all
going, and how this knowledge will be applied as you go through your engineering course.

Engineering
The Department of ECE is one of the
established departments in the
institution. Keeping in line with fast-
changing technology, the department has
a well-designed, constantly reviewed the
syllabus to incorporate all advancements
in existing and emerging technologies.
The state-of-the-art laboratories
complement the high standards set by
the competitive syllabus and nurture the
inclination of the students towards
research and development, besides
giving them the necessary and sufficient
backing of practical knowledge that they

in all courses, the Department has built an excellent reputation for its graduates in terms of placements. Electronics
and Communication Engineering is concerned with designing, development, test, and supervision of the manufacturing
of electronic equipment. Electronics have changed the entire world with its power of communication and micro-
miniaturization of devices like transistors, diodes, resistors and most significantly, the Integrated Circuit Technology.
