The figure below utilizes the IPO paradigm that helps the researchers in

determining the employability of the nursing graduates of Davao Doctors College batch

2015-2019. This paradigm also shows the input or the inquiries that will be done by the

researchers in order to achieve the desired outcome.

Figure 1. Research Paradigm

Figure 1 shows on how the researchers will use the data given to them by the

respondents by using the IPO paradigm. The input (1. It seeks the demographic profile

of the respondents in terms of gender, age, marital status, and year of graduate. 2. It

also seeks the professional qualifications of the respondents that consists of their

educational attainment, professional examinations and career plan. 3. It seeks the

employment profile of the respondents that will reflect the employment status and the

skills of the graduates in their workplace. 4. It seeks to determine the respondent’s

perceived relevance of the nursing program for their current work. 5. It seeks to
determine the respondent’s perceived quality of education of the nursing curriculum that

they have experienced in Davao Doctors College.)

The process is the activities that the researchers will be doing in order to reach

the output. The process shows on what medium the researchers will use on how to

communicate with the respondents (E-mail questionnaires, Facebook messaging, and

other social media that will be convenient for the respondents.) The process also

consists of the statistical treatment of the data that was gathered from the respondents.

Interpretation and analysis is also included and the last stage of the process.

Interpretation and analysis are where the researchers will translate the data given by

the respondents into functional information.

The output shows the end result of the data that the researchers have gathered.

The profiling of the employment status of nursing graduates is the summarization of the

data that was gathered and is expected to answer the employability of the nursing

graduates. Depending on the result of the employability of the graduates, the

researchers would give out recommendations on enhancing the curriculum in order to

raise the employability status of the future nursing graduates. Feedback is the counter-

action on how will the input and output affect each other.
