Teacher Notes
Digital writing projects offer students the chance to practice writing and typing skills. This resource
can also help students hone their oral presentation skills i f you choose to have them present thei r
work.

I created this si mple About Me template to help me get to know my students at the start of the year.
It helps me learn a little about them in order to start forming connections. I have also had it playing
in the background during Open House night. The parents love it!

Here’s how it works:

! Share the slide with your students. I like to share them by creating an assignment in Google
Classroom.
! Optional - Create a slideshow with the completed projects by combining all of the slides into one
presentation.
! Background i mages and fonts cannot be changed. Students can change fonts when adding text to
the text boxes.

Ways to use this resource:

! Whole group or small group instruction
! Writing center

Incl udes:
! About Me slides - 2 si zes
! Teacher Notes
! Di rections for assigning in Google Classroom

6. It doesn’t matter if you choose to assign right away or schedule.
I like the schedule option for certain assignments because I can
schedule multiple days at time. You can choose the date and time to
schedule. Hit schedule when you are done. Then it will pop up in the
classwork section on the dates you scheduled.
