He explains how our pandemic response time has dramatically improved from 1996 to
2009, from 167 days to 23, and what would happen if we can reduce it further because
the key to stopping pandemics is early detection. He says pandemics are good news
because they help improve our surveillance systems, which means it could flatten the
epidemiological curve, reducing the number of cases.
In my opinion, this situation helps us to think a little more about the actions that
humans carry out and how they could impact our world. Quarantine is something I
don't like, but I can keep myself busy with many things so I don't get bored.
