he Gender and Development and Team Building activities were conducted on

December 22-23, 2015 at Alexandra by the Sea, Dapitan City along with the
4th Regional Staff Conference. The Gender and Development program of CDA IX
extension office is a tool for strengthening teamwork among members regardless of
gender and position in the office.

Several team building activities energized the group to be involved in games and
sharing of thoughts on GAD related topics were also initiated. GAD related programs in
the office were also one of the highlights during the program. It was truly a worth
remembering day for us to enjoy each other’s company and to enjoy the perfect views
and amenities at the venue. After which, there occurred a staff conference including
those newly hired CDS II. During the staff conference, the accomplishments of each of
the office units/ sections were reported highlighting their target of accomplishments and
other matters. The registration section was the first one to report highlighting the
number of coops registered for the year, reclassification of agricultural cooperatives and
the issues and concerns of MC2015-01,02, and 05. Meanwhile, the legal section
focused on what and how to file a complaint before the CDA specifically on MC 2012-01
that talks about the rules of procedure governing the conduct of investigation or inquiry
by the CDA. Next was the report on the IRR of RA 9520 that mainly discussed on
reports requirement, submission and penalty. After which, the flow of inspection done by
the CDA officers was also discussed followed by the issues and concerns regarding
issuance of certificate of compliance.

The 2015 updates of the general services section, property unit, accounting section and
the HR were also evaluated and proper recommendations on the target results were
also provided. Meanwhile, the accomplishments for 2015 and work and financial plan
for 2016 were also raised during the discussion. Lastly, the duties and responsibilities of
newly hired CDS II and their working areas were also formally settled.
