Rationale Republic Act 10391 or known as K12 Curriculum developed a
spiral approach in learning for the consistency and mastery of the
lessons. It is indeed the Department of Education conducts several
trainings to address the changes in curriculum. However, putting the
situation in real life adheres to more content delivery and strategy for
the learners to grasp the essentialities of the lesson.
Based on the National Achievement Test results of GGSIS, one of
the least mastered subjects were Science having a mean percentage of
35%, a 45% difference to achieve the passing rate of 75%. The result is
quite alarming for the educators because it is obviously unremarkable
to be in congruent of the objectives of K12 that is to achieve a quality
education.
It is in this line, this training would help to alleviate and increase
the mean percentage of NAT results in developing scientific skills and
instilling the scientific method in their own life as a student. This could
help to ease their difficulties in the subject by doing and learning in
their own observations and conclusions.
Objectives Terminal Objective:
At the end of the 2-day training students would be able to
manage learning through scientific skills.
Enabling Objectives:
1. Improve scientific skills such as observations and conclusions.
2. Appreciate the value of practicing scientific method in decision-
making.
3. Develop a life-long learning through scientific approach.
