CASE ANALYSIS FORM

NAME: SALAZAR MICHELLE P.

CASE #: 2

I: PROBLEMS
A. Macro
1. Reece Enterprise is a bureaucratic firm where the workers follow strict rules and
order. Top management makes the official decision following a established
process like getting three signatures first before the approval of the plan.
2. Top management didn’t worry too much about who did a good job and who
didn’t. Senior managers were only concerned about the completeness of the
work and not how it was done or who did a good job.
B. Micro.
1. They seemed to promote and reward those who has been working longer in the
firm.
2. The environment among the workers was ignorant but very humiliating. They
tend not to accept newbies getting a position like them and works are not that so
friendly and politely indifferent.
II: CAUSES
1. Top managers usually were too busy to see anyone, and interoffice memos
apparently had very low priority.
2. Autocratic leaders are evident in this company, the central authority and
decision-making is left to senior management that they take full responsibility and
authority over the company
3. Employees are not that so accommodating to new workers.
III: SYSTEM AFFECTED

1. Structural - Reese had been regulated in a much more bureaucratic way and it is
hard to reach out for the senior just like for the proposal of plans.
2. Psychosocial - employees are not easy to get along with and they do not seem to
like a newly hired employee like Tony Stark working in the same position as
them.
3. Technical – There was a requirements of getting three signature in the higher
authority for the approval of plan and this might tend to be a slow act in terms of
decision making.
4. Managerial - The access in managers seemed to be complicated as they are not
readily accessible to the needs of employees.
5. Goals and values – Employees tend to focus on effectiveness rather than
efficiency.

IV: ALTERNATIVES.

1. Tony could make a change and difference in Reece Enterprise as he may not the
only one facing that kind of struggles. He can make a suggestion how to have a
better workplace to work with.
2. Since the Reece Enterprise is a big organization, it is hard to make a change.
Tony Stark should find a job that is nearly ideal to his desired job.
3. Employees should reach out for the managers regarding to their issues and they
can make suggestions.

V. RECOMMENDATION

1. Tony could try his best to persuade the seniors to change the current situation
and make the firm decentralized. He could influence and make the organization
culture easygoing step by step.
2. Since Tony stark is a new employee of Reece Enterprise, he should adapt the
new environment and make it as his ideal workplace.
3. Senior managers must assist, set direction and build an inspiring vision to their
subordinates.
