SUPPLY LIST

General Materials:
Palette, 2 metal paint cups, small painting knife, paper towels, cotton rags, Liquin, stand oil, cold
pressed linseed oil, straight skewer, plumb line, brush cleaning tank, odorless mineral spirits (Gamsol),
view finder (Recommended: Picture Perfect PlusView Finder).

Brushes:
Various size bristle brushes and sable brushes (ie. filberts, flats, rounds, fan brushes – sizes 14, 8, 6, 4,
2) (Recommended: Rosemary and Co Artists Brushes).

Recommended Palette Colors:

Flake White Replacement, Gamblin’s Fastmatte Titanium White, Quinacridone Violet, Quinacridone
Red, Perylene Red, Cadmium Red Light, Transparent Earth Red, Cadmium Orange, Indian Yellow,
Yellow Ochre, Cadmium Yellow Lt., Cadmium Green, Sap Green, Cerulean Blue, Ultramarine Blue,
Gamblin’s Asphaltum, Payne’s Grey

Mediums:
Simple Medium for under-paintings: 2 parts linseed oil, 1 part OMS
Simple Medium for top layers: 3 part stand oil, 1 part OMS
Alkyd Mediums: Liquin or Neo Megilp

Canvas:
3 panels or canvases approximately 16” x 20”, 11” x 14”, 9”x12” (ie. Fredericks brand, Pro Series on
linen or Ampersand Panel smooth finish for oil and acrylics)

Additional Supplies:
If possible, please bring in a few objects to personalize your still life.
